Happy Endings: Don and Joey

With Joey, his ADAI service dog at his side, Don, a marine biologist who lives in Florida, was able to return to his research work. Joey, a Golden Retriever, provides Don, who has Muscular Dystrophy and Diabetes, with stability when he walks and can even help him up if he falls. Joey is also trained to pull Don’s manual wheelchair and even retrieves Don’s clothes from the bathroom and deposits them in the hamper.
